1. Using Basale
These Terms apply to Basale’s mobile app and related services. By using the service, you agree to the Terms and Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. What Basale provides
Basale provides tools to track skin spots, keep photo histories and notes, compare images, export image pairs, set reminders, find dermatologists, and access a verified doctor community where eligible. Feature availability may vary by release.
3. Not medical advice
Basale and its AI results are for information and recordkeeping only. They do not diagnose, treat, or rule out disease and do not replace professional medical advice. Do not delay seeking care because of an app result. Basale is not an emergency service.
Photo quality checks cannot guarantee that a photo is suitable for medical assessment. A directory listing or doctor verification does not guarantee a provider’s services, availability, or clinical outcomes.
4. Accounts and responsibilities
Provide accurate account information, keep your sign-in details secure, and use only content you have the right to upload. Do not impersonate another person, misuse the service, attempt unauthorized access, or upload unlawful, abusive, or harmful material.
5. Photos, records, and community content
You retain your rights in the content you upload. You permit the app operator and its necessary service providers to store, process, and display that content only as needed to provide the service and as described in the Privacy Policy.
Doctors must have appropriate authority and patient consent before sharing case material, remove unnecessary identifying information, and respect confidentiality. Do not post identifiable patient data without the required authorization. Community discussions do not create a doctor-patient relationship with app users.
6. Doctor verification and moderation
Doctor access requires credential submission and manual approval. Verification does not replace the doctor’s duty to maintain valid qualifications or follow professional rules. Content or accounts may be restricted for misuse, false credentials, or violations of these Terms, subject to applicable law.
7. Free use and subscriptions
The first three tracked lesions are free. An annual subscription is planned at $24.99 for additional lesions. The purchase screen shows the applicable currency, local price, taxes, duration, and included features before payment.
For auto-renewing subscriptions bought through Apple, payment is charged to your Apple Account. The subscription renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Renewal is charged within 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel through your Apple Account subscription settings. Deleting the app or account does not cancel a subscription. Apple handles App Store refund requests under its policies and applicable law.
8. Third-party services and availability
Maps, place listings, storage, AI processing, and app-store services depend on third-party providers. Results and listings may be incomplete or outdated. Basale does not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that every reminder will be delivered. Device settings and connectivity can affect notifications.
9. Ending use and liability
You may stop using Basale at any time. Account and data deletion follow the Privacy Policy and the app’s deletion process. The operator may suspend access when reasonably needed to address misuse or security concerns.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available without a guarantee of error-free operation. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Apple and changes to these Terms
For iOS downloads, Apple’s applicable usage rules also apply. If no separate custom end-user license agreement is supplied for the app, the Apple Standard EULA applies as provided by Apple. The app operator, rather than Apple, is responsible for the app and its support obligations.
Material changes to these Terms should be communicated through the service, with an updated effective date.
